Karnataka based leading credit cooperative-Tumkur Merchants Credit Cooperative Society (TMCC) has launched ‘ATM on wheels’ facility in and around the state despite a lockdown caused due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus.
The launching ceremony was done in the presence of Karnataka Minister J C Madhuswamy and Member of Parliament G S Basavaraju on Thursday in Tumkur. TMCC President Jayakumar and other board members were also present on the occasion .
ATM on wheels will enable customers of TMCC as well as that of other banks to withdraw money, check balance and take out mini statements, right at their doorstep, stated the President of the credit co-op.
TMCC has taken all necessary precautionary measures such as providing sanitiser to the customers before and after using the ATM, periodic sanitisation of the ATM while keeping a check that people standing in a queue maintain social distancing.
TMCC has crossed a turnover of more than Rs 27k cr in the 2020-21 financial year.
