The Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the Cooch Behar Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited election unopposed, media reports say.
TMC workers celebrated their victory on Thursday in front of the bank. With 42 seats available, only Trinamool Congress filed nominations by the deadline, resulting in an unopposed win.
Candidate Siddhartha Mandal noted that elections are held every five years, and the victory reflects Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s leadership.
