Trinamool Congress (TMC) claimed a decisive victory in the agricultural cooperative elections in Burdwan, winning all seats uncontested after the Opposition failed to submit nominations, media reports say.
TMC had filed nominations for all nine seats, securing the win and forming the new board in Ghordaurchati, Baikuntha Nagar II, under Burdwan Block II.
Despite offering to cooperate with the Opposition for nominations, no opposition candidates filed. This victory follows TMC’s earlier success in East Midnapore, where they won all 12 seats in Bhagwanpur Block II.
