In the wake of the Maharashtra Assembly election, the Cooperative Election Authority has canceled the proposed election for TJSB Sahakari Bank and rescheduled the election program.
Previously, the bank’s election was set for December 10, 2024, but it is now scheduled for January 5, 2025.
The election authority has appointed the District Collector of Thane as the returning officer to conduct the bank’s election.
As per the revised schedule, the final list of eligible members will be published on December 9, 2024. Candidates can submit their nomination papers from December 10 to December 13, 2024.
The nominations will be scrutinized on December 14, and the final list of valid nominations will be published on December 16. Candidates may withdraw their nominations by December 19, 2024.
The election will take place on January 5, 2025, with vote counting and result declaration scheduled for January 6, 2025.
The bank’s business exceeded Rs 22,000 crore, with a net profit of Rs 216 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year, marking a 25.41 percent increase over the previous year.
