Jalaun District Co-operative Bank in Uttar Pradesh was burgled by dacoits who decamped with a large amount of cash. Police say some criminals got into the strong room of Babai branch of Jalaun district cooperative bank in Uttar Pradesh and made away with nearly Rs. 13 lakh.
The unidentified criminals made a hole in the bank’s wall and made their entry possible. An FIR has been lodged and the police investigation has begun.
Sources say , once again the problem of lax security has come to the fore and people are wondering if necessary security measures are deliberately not put in place in cooperative banks.
