In order to help the government fight against the coronavirus, Maharashtra based Thane District Central Cooperative Bank contributed Rs 1 crore towards the Chief Minister Relief fund last week.
The cheque was personally handed over to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar by the Bank Chairman Rajendra Patil. Several other representatives of the bank were also present during the cheque giving ceremony.
Earlier, Sangli DCCB and Latur DCCB had contributed Rs 2.25 crore and Rs 1.11 crore respectively. Several other DCCBs are generously contributing into fighting the corona pandemic.
