Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray alleged that the BJP aims to undermine Maharashtra’s cooperative sector by taking control of cooperatives and transferring them to industrialists, media reports say.
Speaking in Solapur’s Sangola, Thackeray highlighted the economic significance of Western Maharashtra’s “cooperative belt,” known for its sugar factories and cooperative banks.
He criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for centralizing control over cooperatives, a sector traditionally managed by states.
