The Telangana State Cooperative Urban Banks Federation, with the support of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Hyderabad, organized a specialized training program last week for cashiers, cash officers, and cash department staff. The focus was on identifying counterfeit notes and handling soiled and mutilated notes.
The event saw a record participation of 77 attendees over two days.
Sri SVNB Bhadra Raju A, Manager of the RBI’s Issue Department, conducted sessions on counterfeit note detection, handling soiled and mutilated notes, and improving customer service in note exchange processes.
Retired RBI AGM D. S. V. Ratnakar led sessions on strong room management, safe deposit lockers, and the secure handling of sensitive documents and valuables, with a focus on safety precautions and operational efficiency.
Federation leaders, including NAFCUB Directors Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy and G. Madana Gopala Swamy, urged participants to utilize the training for personal and professional growth, highlighting the role of customer satisfaction in achieving business success.
Federation CEO Krishna Murthy praised the efforts of the faculty, participants, and office bearers for making the program a resounding success.
