Telangana Today reports Telangana BJP submitted a memorandum to the State Cooperative Election Authority calling for immediate elections to curb horse-trading.
The authority had recently announced the election schedule for PACS, and Farmers Service Cooperatives in the state.
BJP vice-president Dr S Malla Reddy said all cooperative elections must be held on time.
The party has accused the state govt of trying to manipulate cooperative elections.
Meanwhile, Express News Service reports that Telangana Congress Party is preparing itself for the forthcoming cooperative societies elections. The party says it will use the last bit of its power to do better in the elections.
