On the occasion of National Technology Day, Maharashtra based Samta Cooperative Credit Society launched the QR code through which users can ‘take and send’ their money.
During the launching ceremony, the society Chairman Kaka Koyte said, “Now, the customers can take or pay the money anywhere in India.
It will help the customers associated with credit co-op in a big way and with the changing times it is necessary to adopt digital banking”, he added.
It is reported that around Rs 26 crore transactions are done through the UPI system every day.
Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) based cooperative bank crossed the business mix of more than Rs 1300 crore in the 2022-23 financial year. The credit society has performed well on almost all the financial parameters in the said FY.
Several co-operators including IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted on the occasion of the National Technology Day.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative, NCUI President Dileep Sanghani said that technology is what can truly redefine cooperative movement in the country.
