SWACH cooperative that is managing solid waste in Pune has urged public to offer themselves as volunteers for cleanliness campaign during the upcoming Ganeshotsav, starting soon, reports Times of India.
The volunteers will help collect materials like paper, plastic, thermocol, flowers and fruits among others that devotees immerse into rivers along with the idols, the cooperative said in a statement.
Those interested in volunteering can register by filling the form on the cooperative’s website, or by sending an email to swachcoop@gmail.com, the statement added.
