BJP’s slogan, ‘Sau No Saath Sau No Vikas’, printed on the bottom of the cheques issued by the Surat District Cooperative Bank to scores of account holders has become controversial, reports TOI.
Raising objection, the account holders are demanding the removal of the slogan with immediate effect.
Sources say the bank has over 9 lakh account holders. The bank has fixed deposits of over Rs 5,000 crore.
The bank was established in 1909. It is one of the cooperative banks in the country that has given its headquarters a green makeover.
