Sunil’s joy knows no bounds as ICA-AP Prez savours Litti Chokha

The fact that a towering cooperative personality like Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav has lauded the famous Bihari cuisine Litti Chokha has enthused not only the main host Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh but also the co-operators from the state.

International Cooperative Alliance-Asia Pacific Chairman and ace cooperator Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav visited the Bihar Marketing Cooperative Biscomaun’s Delhi guest house on Monday and enjoyed the ‘Litti Chokha’, the iconic dish of Bihar. He went there on the personal invitation of Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh.

“Can you imagine a co-operator like Chandra Pal Singh, who is the top leader of not only India but also that of the entire Asia Pacific region could fit himself into a small 10by 10 room and savour a Bihari dish”, said Sunil to this correspondent on the phone.

“Is not this simplicity which has taken him so up in the cooperative ladder”, shot back Sunil, underlining Chandra Pal’s ability to adjust to any situation. I confess Biscomaun Guest House in Defence Colony in Delhi, cries for renovation but that did not stop Chandra Pal from accepting my invitation, said Sunil.

Sunil who has been with Chandra Pal during his Gujarat visit also shared many titbits he had with the ICA AP President on the way. “Chandra Pal jee is very thankful to IFFCO MD Awasthijee for his support and he rates the support of Tarun Bhargava and Savitri Singh crucial for his victory”, recounted Sunil.

“Indian co-operators fanned out to several neighbouring countries seeking votes for Chandra Pal displaying unique fervour patriotic during the election”, said Sunil who himself stood by Yadav along with NCUI President Dileep Sanghani at the Seoul.

Sunil also narrated about the massive gathering that had assembled on the occasion of the unveiling of V R Patel’s human-size statue at his village. “There were about 10, 000 people and leaders like Dileep Sanghani, Jayesh Radadia along with us were present”, he said. It bears recall that Patel was a senior Cooperator from Gujarat who had also been Chairman of Kribhco in the past. His village has seen no elections as all decisions are unanimous among villagers, said Sunil extolling the virtues of the place.
