While moving a vote of thanks after the conclusion of the 66th AGM of Nafed, its Vice-Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh not only thanked the participants for their presence but also promised them that given Nafed’s continuous growth, he will personally prevail on the Board to get 20% dividend to them from the next year. It was music to the ear of delegates.
Delegates were waiting for Sunil’s speech for the last two days-during the Kribhco AGM and that of NCUI. Blessed with a gift of gab and a flair for making witty remarks , Sunil regaled the audience with his no-holds-barred speech as he said “see my luck usually at the time of a vote of thanks, members go out for lunch and I have only empty chairs to talk to”.
Though Sunil spoke mostly in a lighter vein, he also recalled the words of Union Minister Amit Shah when the latter came calling to Nafed’s headquarters last month. Sunil said that the Nafed will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the target given by Union Minister Amit Shah during his recent visits to the Nafed headquarters.
In his thanksgiving, Sunil touched everyone and dwelt at length on the role being played by the Indian Cooperative.
Newspapers have all kinds of news items including that of bandits and robbers but we co-operators never got a chance to get our due. The due recognition began to come only after the emergence of the Indian Cooperative on the scene. He appreciated its editor Mr Ajay Jha for contributing invaluably to the cause of the co-op movement.
Greetings ji
It is always true that he is a good communicator and Ajay jha is a great journalist with the global reach. Since the ministry is looking into lot of ways to improve coop model now emphasize more how indian cooperative ( the platform) worked hard to collect information, facts, news not only from India but of the whole world to make cooperator s and leaders more aware. He rightly said we educate more…
