Rajeshkumar Kantilal Pathak and Riteshbhai Amarsinh Vasava have been re-elected unopposed as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Surat based SUMUL dairy in the election held last Thursday in its headquarters.
The election for SUMUL dairy was held in 2015 for five years but according to bye-laws of SUMUL the Chairman and Vice-Chairman have to get elected midway–that is after every 2 and half years. Pathak made it to the top post once again along with his deputy.
Announcing the results Returning officer appointed to oversee the election process said, Rajeshkumar Kantilal Pathak and Riteshbhai Amarsinh Vasava have been re-elected unopposed as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Sumul Dairy.
There were no other nominations for the elections of Chairman and vice-chairman and the two romped home without hassle.
SUMUL Dairy was established by late Ashabhai Shankarbhai Patel with six societies and 250 members on 22nd August 1951. Currently about 1,100 societies are its members with which more than 2.5 lakhs farmers are associated.
