The wait is over. Sumul Dairy Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be elected on 4th September. Sumul is one of the milk unions of GCMMF which sells its products under the brand name of Amul.
Confirming the news one of the newly elected directors Naresh Patel said to Indian Cooperative that it is true, the elections of Sumul Dairy Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be held on 4th September 2020.
There is speculation that former deputy speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Mansinh Patel will be the new chairman of the society because he comes from tribal areas which were in prominence during the election of BoDs.
Readers would recall that the two panels led by outgoing Chairman Raju Pathak and Mansinhbhai Patel were in the race and interestingly both the panel won 8-8 seats which also delayed the elections of Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
