Surat-based Sumul Dairy has received the first prize in the Food and Processing Segment during a program organized on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day at Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday.
The award was jointly given by Union Minister of Power R K Singh and Union Minister of State for Power Krishan Pal to Sumul Dairy Chairman Mansinh Patel and MD Purohit.
The dairy has achieved thermal energy savings of 583 Million Kcal and Electrical energy Savings of 5.18 Million Units.
Sharing the news with Indian Cooperative Sumul MD Purohit said “Over the last 4 years, we have achieved Remarkable Reduction in Auxiliary Power Consumption as well as Thermal Consumption. We are the first ones who received an Energy Conservation Award in the Cattle Feed Sector.
That is a Big Achievement for Sumul as Continuous Improvement in the last 4 years for Cattle Feed Plant, Bajipura, he added.
