Sukhu inaugurates 112th ATM of Himachal Pradesh StCb

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the 112th ATM of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank in Dodra-Kwar, one of the state’s most isolated areas, in Shimla district on Saturday.

Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, which operates 262 branches, has become the first to offer both branch and ATM access to residents of this remote region.

During the inauguration, CM Sukhu highlighted the bank’s efforts in empowering women through financial inclusion, noting that loans have been provided without any guarantees to 200 women in Dodra-Kwar under the Empowered Women Loan Scheme.

He added that across Himachal Pradesh, approximately 29,000 women have benefitted from this scheme. The CM emphasized that the state government is committed to fostering self-reliance in Himachal Pradesh.

On this occasion Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Bank Chairman Devendra Shyam, CEO Sharwan Manta, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, and others were present.
