Minister of State for Cooperation Munish Grover had visited the mill on November 16 to inaugurate the crushing season. In his statement, he had advised the directors not to remain confined to issuing slips and having tea and samosas in the mill, reports the Tribune.
Now all nine elected directors of the Kaithal Cooperative Sugar Mill here have criticized the statement of Minister demanded an apology from him for his alleged derogatory words.
Director Jitender Kadyan said all directors were working for the betterment of the mill. He said the government had not approved the construction of a tank for storage of mollases in the mill despite an assurance by the minister.
