Intervening in the question hour in the state assembly, Deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar denied irregularities in the sale of sugar factories under liquidation. He rejected Devendra Fadnavis’ demand for a fresh probe in the matter, reports Free Press Journal.
According to the Deputy CM, following the assumption of office by the MVA govt, an investigation by the EoW was ordered. CID and a panel headed by a retired judge have already given clean chit, he added.
Pawar told the House that the two inquiries have been carried out during his government and the two during the Fadnavis regime.
