Working on the planning of a participatory marketing strategy SUCO Souharda Sahakari Bank conducted a Tractor Jatha campaign at Channagiri in Davangere district of North Karnataka. The Jatha which saw enthusiastic participation by farmers was nicknamed “Chaalak Bano Maalak”.
The programme was aimed at celebrating the success of SUCO Bank’s 23rd branch in Channagiri which was started in December 2017. Within 10 months the branch released loans for 15 tractors to farmers under this campaign.
SUCO Bank’s branch organized this Jatha last week after holding a press meet. Jaatha started from branch office to ‘Kaimara’ Circle and returned to the branch. Out of 15, Tractors, 14 tractors participated in this Jaatha. Joyous farmers actively participated in the jaatha.
Cluster Manager Naveen Raj praised the Branch Manager and his team for this successful campaign in which the doubts of the traffic police were allayed to allow the movement of the Jaatha. Branch Manager Ramesh B and other staff-members also participated in the jaatha, read a release sent by the UCB.
It bears recall that SUCO Souhardha Sahakari Bank is the fastest growing UCB in North Karnataka. It achieved a turnover of Rs 806 crore this fiscal and earned a profit of Rs 7.90 crore. It is also the first co-op bank in Karnataka registered under UPI Platform.
