Following Amit Shah’s direction, the Union Ministry of Cooperation has left no stone unturned in disseminating information about several initiatives taken by the MoC in the interest of PACS.
The Union Ministry of Cooperation’s Deputy Secretary Kapil Meena visited more than four PACS of Jaipur and Tonk districts of Rajasthan last week and took stock of the situation.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative correspondent Meena said, “It was a fruitful visit and I met representatives of co-ops in Jaipur. I visited Hathoj Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti, Deoli Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti and others. It was good to notice that PACS are taking advantage of various initiatives undertaken by the MOC”.
“The PACS of Jaipur and other districts are being computerized. A few of them have onboarded themselves as Common Service Centres and many of them have applied for opening Jan Aushadhi Centre. Besides, officials informed me that PACS have also filled the form for opening Petrol Pumps”, he said on the phone.
