Allegations are that officials of South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank are indulging in irregularities with impunity. Recently the erring officials held out a murder threat to an office bearer of Bank Employees Union for raising his voice against them, reports Press Trust of India.
Police say they will seek legal opinion before registering a case on the basis of complaint.
The bank was in the news on account of allegations of accepting crores of rupees worth of scrapped high value notes during the demonetization exercise.
IT had conducted a search in the bank recently following the reports.
