Answering a range of questions from New Indian Express, R S Sodhi said the dairy major has done an outstanding job by putting Rs.8,000 crore into the hands of farmers through maintaining an active supply chain.
According to Sodhi, there are 100 million families that depend on the supply chain and AMUL kept the chain running throughout the lock down period.
He appreciated the help extended to the cooperative by local administration and various ministries of the govt. of India.
