While speaking in a public function in Ahmedabad Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb suggested Tripura’s educated young men could take up dairy farming and earn substantial income, instead of searching for government jobs, reports Business Line.
Opposition parties have called out the chief minister on the point. However, Deb’s idea received immediate support from the cooperative titan Amul whose MD R.S.Sodhi said dairy farming is not a bad profession and educated people all over should their luck in the sector.
Offering his detailed comments through social media GCMMF MD Sodhi described Tripura chief minister’s idea as practical and logical and said a youth in Tripura could easily earn Rs 6-7 lakh per annum with 10 cows.
