Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh inaugurated IFFCO Bazar- a novel concept launched by the cooperative behemoth last year in his home district Motihari in Bihar. He shared the news along with photographs on social media.
Several of IFFCO Directors and officials were present on the occasion. IFFCO’s Marketing Director Arabinda Roy and the elected director Premchandra Munshi along with Joint GM Yogendra Kumar were there in the event sharing dais with the Minister.
IFFCO Kisan Bazar is a unique concept in which its products are sold thorough outlets in remote areas of the country. IFFCO website says “ The Company was incorporated on 26th February, 2004 in the name of ‘IFFCO Kisan Bazar Limited’ with the object to provide one stop shop for farmers to cater to their requirements of fertilizers, seeds, agro chemicals, pesticides and agricultural tools etc.”
The Company was renamed as ‘IFFCO Kisan Bazar & Logistics Limited’ with effect from 1st February, 2011 to expand its business activities into the field of setting up and development of logistics, infrastructure, industrial and commercial structures, it adds.
Presently it is active opening outlets in Bihar. Manish Gupta is its CEO who functions from the Delhi headquarters.
