The results for three casual vacancies in the Board of Directors of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) have been officially declared and approved by the Cooperative Election Authority.
Two vacancies were filled unopposed. Constituency XIV saw the unopposed election of Korothu Bangarraju from the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation and Mukul Kumar from the Haryana State Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation Limited.
However, Constituency IX witnessed a heated electoral battle, with four candidates vying for the seat, which became vacant following the demise of Simachal Padhy. In a closely contested election, Subhrajeet Padhy, son of the late Simachal Padhy, emerged victorious, securing 33 votes.
His closest competitor, Santimoy Dey, received 25 votes, while Arun Mishra and Md. Ali Hyder secured 2 votes each.
