NABARD awarded some of the banks in Rajasthan for their contribution in extending the net of rural credit. Sikar District Central Cooperative Bank won first prize for having been excelled in extending credit facilities to Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the state.
The second prize was bagged by Bundi District Central Cooperative Bank and third Prize went to Jhalawar District Central Cooperative Bank.
The prizes were distributed during as seminar organised by NABARD, Rajasthan Regional Office at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur on Wednesday.
Among the commercial banks ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda won first and second prizes respectively. Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank won the prize in the category of Regional Rural Banks. Special Award was bestowed on the Punjab National Bank.
