After the election of the board of directors for Chandigarh State Co-operative Bank in September last year, the directors unanimously selected Satinder Pal Singh Sidhu (Sarangpur) as Chairman and Sukhwinder Singh Kala (Kajheri) as Vice-Chairman on Wednesday, media reports say.
Both were elected unopposed to their respective positions. The board comprises 12 members in total. Expressing gratitude to the board, Sidhu assured his commitment to advancing the bank’s standing.
“I will leave no stone unturned to take the Chandigarh State Co-operative Bank to new heights,” he said, promising to address all banking-related concerns of residents in Chandigarh’s villages.
In addition to his role in the bank, Sidhu also serves as a nominated councillor in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation.
