The elections for the Board of Directors of Southern India’s largest credit co-operative, Karnataka based Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit, have concluded without any contest.
All 21 seats on the board were secured unopposed, with cooperator and former MP Annasaheb Jolle, along with MLA Nippani Shashikala Jolle, successfully retaining their positions as directors.
Although the official results are yet to be declared, the final list of contesting candidates has already been posted on the bank’s official website. The official results are expected to be announced on March 3, 2025.
It is gathered that in the new board, only eight members are old hands, while the rest are newcomers, primarily professionals with expertise in their respective fields.
The elected board members are Annasaheb Jolle, Shashikala Jolle, Sidram Gadade, Yashin Tamboli, Appasaheb Jolle, Vibhavari Khandake, Anand Patil, Annasaheb Chougala, Kailashchand Risabh, Vajrakant Sadalge, Sidarayagouda Prakash, Bingappa Khokale, Kashinat Kamate, Ananda Dattatray, Annaso Balasaheb, Bannappa Mallikarjun, Bhimappa Sadanand, Shivaji Jayaprakash, Chetan Deshpande, Shatrughan Shrinivas, and Rajaram Shripad.
The elections for the office bearers of the society will be held on March 6, 2025.
According to the latest financial figures of the society, as of January 31, 2025, the total deposits stood at Rs 4,096 crore, while loans and advances amounted to Rs 3,018 crore, resulting in a total business mix of over Rs 7,100 crore. The society operates a network of 224 branches and recorded a net profit of Rs 40.55 crore.
