Shree Agrasen Cooperative Urban Thrift and Credit Society’s secretary Umesh Bansal has been given an appreciation letter for doing praiseworthy work for the welfare of society and its members. He was given the letter in the presence of Chairman Om Prakash Bansal, Vice Chairman and other managing committee members in the society’s headquarters in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi last week.
The society was established in 1978 with a share capital of about seven thousand and 56 members. Presently, the society is having 18 thousand members with a share capital of about 11 crore. The society’s objective is to improve the living conditions of poor families, Bansal said to this correspondent on phone.
“When office bearers of the society got elected in 2015, the new Managing Committee had appointed me as the secretary of the society and they chose me to give an appreciation letter for the good work I have put in”, said visible happy Bansal shared his feelings to this correspondent.
He further said the society has earned a net profit of Rs 3 crore in the last fiscal and modernized its operations with the latest technology.
