Anti-corruption police have arrested the secretary of Sholinghur Milk Cooperative Society in Tamil Nadu on the charge of demanding and accepting bribe. Police have also seized unaccounted cash of Rs.1,70,000 from the office of the society’s president, reports Hindu.
Police action followed a complaint from a person employed as a clerk in the society.
The society’s secretary was taking a bribe of Rs 16,000 from the clerk to regularize his appointment.
