According to a report by Pioneer, UP PWD minister Shivpal Yadav refused to share the dais with controversial Chairman of Pradesh Cooperative cold storage federation (PACFED).
The chairman of PACFED is allegedly involved in booth capturing in the recent Panchayat polls.
Addressing the function Shivpal Yadav, who also holds the cooperative department, said the UP government has raised the limits of construction works to be done by PACFED to Rs 12 crore from the present Rs 10 crore.
Spread in over 5,000 sq meters, the PACFED has constructed an 11-storeyed building for its office in Lucknow costing a whopping Rs 45 crore.
Initially set up as an agency in the co-operative sector for constructing and managing cold storages, PACFED has now become an agency of construction of state buildings.
