Shah will bring co-op mainstream: Sanghani

Speaking on the occasion of the mega co-op conclave at Indira Gandhi Stadium NCUI President Dileep Sanghani said the co-op sector is blessed to have a leader like Amit Shah as its Minister.

“The whole nation has heard him speak in Parliament at the time of amalgamation of J&K with the rest of India and today similarly everyone is watching him when he is amalgamating the co-op sector with the mainstream economy of India”, said Sanghani in an emotionally choked voice.

“Amitbhai Shah is a stalwart”, said Sanghani thanking the Prime Minister for his choice. Sanghani also remembered Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on the occasion saying the co-operative’s goal is no different from Antyodaya.

Recounting co-op efforts during the Covid peak, Sanghani narrated how co-ops distributed masks, sanitizers, etc. “We even made substantial contributions to the PM’s Fund for fighting Covid, ” he recalled.

Sanghani informed that the poor from the weaver co-ops are present in the Stadium and shawls being draped on the guests have been made by them. This is the job of cooperatives, the job of uplifting the downtrodden, he added.

Talking of enlisting youths in the cooperative movement, Sanghani informed that NCUI is going to form a Youth Committee soon.

He also thanked IFFCO and its MD for taking care of small details in the arrangements made for the success of the meeting.
