Shah to visit Nandini Plant today

Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, who is in Bangalore, would be visiting one of the plants of the Karnataka State Dairy Federation which owns the famous brand named Nandini.

A federation of more than 16 milk unions, the state dairy federation is doing brisk business. More than 26 lakhs farmers are associated with the dairy federation.

Shah is on a two-day visit to the state and will attend the Sankalp se Siddhi conference with CM Bommai and others,” the Karnataka CMO. Being a cooperator at his heart, he does not lose a chance to visit co-operatives wherever he goes, said one of the officials of the Ministry.

Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (KMF) the second largest dairy co-operative amongst the dairy cooperatives in the country. In South India it stands first in terms of procurement as well as sales.

One of the core functions of the Federation is marketing of Milk and Milk Products. The Brand “Nandini” is the household name for Pure and Fresh milk and milk products, claims its website.
