Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah distributed RuPay Kisan Credit Cards and Micro-ATMs to 10 cooperative societies, marking a major step toward empowering farmers and enhancing financial inclusion.
Speaking at the event, Shri Shah announced that every primary dairy across the country will soon be equipped with a Micro-ATM, as part of a nationwide campaign to support farmers with better access to low-cost loans.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Shri Shah emphasized that the expansion of PACS is guided by four key principles: visibility, relevance, viability, and vibrancy.
He also noted that integrating 32 different functions into PACS has significantly improved their operational efficiency, making them more visible and viable in rural areas. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion and empowering the agricultural community.
