Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah released the two new training modules developed by the National Cooperative Resource Centre (NCRC) of NCUI.
The modules were released during the inauguration of the National Cooperative Database on Friday at ICAR, Pusa, New Delhi.
These were ‘Urban Cooperative Banking’ and ‘Community Mobilization and Registration of Cooperatives related modules.
The training module on ‘Urban Cooperative Banking-Navigating Professionalism, Compliance, Technology, and Growth’ provides a comprehensive insight into UCBs and their significant position within the banking sector. It aims to elevate awareness and comprehension among existing and potential members.
It will equip participants with comprehensive knowledge across various dimensions of this sector, fostering a deeper understanding of the roles and functions of UCBs within the economic landscape and their alignment with emerging national priorities.
Whereas, the module on ‘Community Mobilization and Registration of Cooperatives’ covers essential aspects like cooperative identity, go vernance, management, cooperative federalism, regulation structure and fostering a cooperative culture. It is packed with practical insights, it equips leaders, entrepreneurs and the general public to build resilient cooperatives and drive positive changes.
These were prepared with the coordinated efforts of NCUI CE Sudhir Mahajan and Guidance of NCUI Deputy CE Savitri Singh. NCUI Adviser Dr V K Dubey, Sagar Wadkar and others played a vital role in its preparation.
