Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah praised Union Budget 2025, calling it a comprehensive blueprint for India’s development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He congratulated PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a forward-thinking, inclusive budget that addresses every sector, from farmers to education, healthcare, and innovation.
Shah highlighted key measures, including zero income tax for incomes up to Rs 12 lakh, the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana for farmers, and new initiatives like the Pulses Self-Reliance Mission. He lauded the government’s focus on the middle class, farmers, MSMEs, and youth empowerment through investments in education, research, and skill enhancement.
The Budget’s support for Bihar stood out, with provisions for the Makhana Board, the Western Koshi Canal Project, IIT Patna’s expansion, and a greenfield airport. Shri Shah also noted the importance of the Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Yojana to promote Indian languages and the Rs 1 lakh crore Urban Challenge Fund for urban development.
Shah emphasized that the budget would strengthen India’s power, maritime, and shipping sectors with investments like the Rs 20,000 crore Nuclear Energy Mission and the Rs 25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund. Additionally, the Budget focuses on public health, offering exemptions on lifesaving drugs and expanding cancer care. The gig economy and street vendors also benefit from new provisions aimed at enhancing their financial and health security.
