Several top officials of the Agriculture and Cooperation Ministry decided to go for self-quarantine after one of the Joint Secretaries is said to have tested Covid-positive, sources say.
This has led to a virtual shut down of the ministry. With two senior officers said to suffer from Covid 19, others who held meetings with them are forced to go for self-isolation, added the source.
A WhatsApp message sent in a lighter vein reads “Tomarji is in Gwalior, Rupalaji is in Gujarat. Secretary, Agri & Central Registrar are in self Isolation! And it is said that Ashish Bhutaniji is down with Covid 19!
Cooperators who have to deal with the Ministry find the ministry empty of staff.
