Even the RBI employees have their deposits in the beleaguered Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank, Business Line reports.
RBI’s Officers’ Co-op Credit Society has a fixed deposit (FD) of Rs 105 crore with the bank.
Apart from the RBI employees’ society, other co-operative banks including Thane Bharat Sahakari Bank, Apna Sahakari Bank, Solapur Janata Sahakari Bank Cosmos Co-operative Bank, have their huge deposits in the crisis ridden bank.
The PMC Bank has been put under RBI’s regulatory restrictions for the next six months.
