After accusing Lalu Prasad’s family members of acquiring unexplained assets, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has hinted his hand in the alleged widespread corruption in the MLA Housing Co-operative in Bihar. Modi has demanded immediate dissolution of the co-operative, say media reports.
Modi has charged that the Housing co-operative is headed for a long time by RJD President Lalu Prasad’s favourite Jaiprakash Narain Yadav. Lalu Prasad’s private secretary and now an MLA Bhola Yadav has been made its Secretary to maintain “stranglehold” on the Housing co-operative, Sushil Modi said in a press statement.
According to Shushil Modi, all possible efforts are likely to be made to cover up past misdeeds in the co-operative.
Sushil Modi, leader of opposition in the state Legislative Council, is a member of the MLA Housing Cooperative but he has never been invited for the meeting or informed about its election.
