Free Press Journal reports the Supreme Court has rejected the petitions challenging the recruitment process for appointments in 37 district cooperative central banks in MP.
Upholding the decision of the High Court, the apex court said the selection process has to come to an end at some point and the petitioners cannot be permitted to challenge it again and again.
In other words, the court has ruled that the power of the registrar to apply reservation in such appointments cannot be challenged.
The bottom-line is both High Court and the apex court have maintained the reservation limit of 50 percent for marginalized sections in direct recruitment even in cooperative banks.
