According to a delayed news coming to our desk, Maharashtra based Satara District Central Cooperative Bank (SDCCB) has won the ‘National Commemorative Award’ on Nabard’s 40th foundation day celebrated virtually recently.
The award was given away virtually by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in the presence of Nabard Chairman G R Chintala, and Satara DCCB Chairman Shivendrasinh Raje Bhonsle. The bank board members were also present on the occasion.
Talking to Indian Cooperative the Bank CEO Rajendra Sarkale said, ” “I am happy to inform that our bank has been given the ‘Special Commemorative Award’ in the Category of District Central Cooperative Banks based on our bank’s overall performance in the fields of Agriculture Credit, Micro Finance and others”.
On the one hand the bank has been given an award for good performance but on other hand the Enforcement Directorate issued a notice to the bank for providing information about loans granted to Jarandeshwar Sugar Private Limited.
