Madhya Pradesh Cooperatives Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang emphasized the importance of expanding Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) at the Panchayat level to generate employment and strengthen the cooperative movement.
Speaking at the state-level seminar “Sahkar se Samriddhi” in Bhopal, Sarang highlighted the goal of creating multi-purpose PACS to provide varied services, including running petrol pumps and marriage halls.
He stressed that cooperatives are essential for societal prosperity and unity. Minister Sarang also called for a PACS in every Panchayat by next year and urged increased participation to drive success.
The seminar featured awards for exemplary workers and the release of key publications to support the movement’s growth.
