Mr Dhumal had made a series of allegations including the one that the bank that had racked up profits of Rs 55.84 crore in 2011-12 had to see its profits come down to a paltry Rs. 19 crore in the current fiscal.
Sapehia rubbished all allegations and put the fall in the bank’s profit down to the payment of arrears of workers and starting of new branches.
Sapehia asserted the bank was autonomous and doing well. His rebuttal came when he was addressing journalists in Dharmashala. Mr Sapehia also announced the bank would soon employ 500 people in various categories.
