Dileep Sanghani, the newly elected President of the apex national co-op body NCUI is visiting its headquarters today (Thursday) after the hustle and bustle of the elections is over.
Sanghani, who has decades of experience in running co-op federations, is up against several odds at the NCUI, confide insiders narrating how the Ministry has been meting out step-motherly treatment to the apex body in the wake of stand-off on the NCCT issue.
Funds have dried up and except for the Field Projects, the Ministry is not willing to help, said an NCUI official on condition of anonymity. But with Sanghani, a BJP man in the saddle, we are looking forward to better times for the co-op body, he felt.
Indian Cooperative has also learnt that the Ex-President of NCUI Dr Chandra Pal Singh is also coming to the NCUI headquarters on Thursday to apprise Sanghani of the working of NCUI and beckon him to the challenges that lie ahead.
