Vowing to transform the dreams of the PM, NCUI President Dileep Sanghani gave a clarion call for “Sahakar se Swarojgar” and, “Swarojgar se Atmanirbhar”. Cooperatives would play a big role in enhancing one’s own income and thereby India becoming self-reliant, said Sanghani while being felicitated by the NCDC recently in Delhi.
Organized at its headquarters, NDCD event was joined by all the Regional Offices across India and NEDAC Office Bangkok. Welcoming Sanghnai, MD NCDC Sundeep Nayak said that Dileepbhai has been closely associated with NCDC for long, as a member of its General Council, as Chairman of apex bodies of cooperative banks in the country NAFSCOB, as the Chairman of GUJCAMOSL, and as the previous President of NAFED, Vice President of IFFCO etc. The great source of inspiration for co-operators across the country, Dileepbhai has been of great help to NCDC as well, said the MD.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanghani said that honest and sincere efforts of the NCDC team led by the MD have made NCDC a leading development financial institution for cooperatives in the country. He said he now sees a new dimension to his relationship with NCDC as President of NCUI.
Sanghani made special mention of his participation in the General Assembly of NEDAC conducted during November 2018 at New Delhi and the two-day brainstorming session for furthering the cooperative movement in the Asia-Pacific region. He referred to India International Cooperatives Trade Fair held in October 2019 in this context.
Calling co-ops as “Invisible Agents of Change”, Sanghani lamented that the contributions of cooperatives are not publicly recognized and often treated another way in society compared to public and private organizations. He stressed on the fact that the involvement of youth and women for new generation cooperatives with adequate skill development and professionalism can only ensure good results.
The two leaders-Sanghani and Nayak also vowed to forge a meaningful alliance for development of cooperatives. “As President of NCUI Sanghani said, he would strive to put cooperative central-stage in all Government Schemes and take the cooperatives to the next level” said Nayak talking to Indian Cooperative.
