Dileepbhai Sanghani on Monday filed his nomination paper for the Assembly elections from ‘Dhari’, an assembly constituency located in Amreli District of Gujarat.
Several of Sanghani’s friends who accompanied him for filling nomination said “Dileepbhai Sanghani has filed his nomination papers for contesting the Gujarat polls from Dhari Constituency on Monday at 12:39 A.M and would start campaigning for which voting would be held on 9 December”, said Bharat Doshi one of his close friends to this correspondent.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala had also met Dileepbhai Sanghani on Monday.
BJP replaced sitting MLA Nalin Kotadiya and has fielded Dileepbhai Sanghani from Dhari. Sanghani is believed to wield a considerable clout in the region. Gujarat Legislative Assembly polls are to be held in two phases on December 9 and 14.
‘Dhari’ is a town located in Amreli District of Gujarat with 2.1 lakh voters and 30 percent of total population belongs to Patidar Samaj and 70 percent belong to Kadiya Kumbhar, Brahmin and other castes.
