Talking to the Indian Cooperative soon after the meeting, Sanghani said, “It was a courtesy call because I hadn’t met Bhutani so far. We discussed various subjects related to NCUI as well as India’s Cooperative Movement”.

“I briefed him on the role NCUI played in educating and giving training to the employees and board of directors of cooperative societies and also sought the Ministry’s support in imparting training”, Sanghani said.

He further added, “I also requested him for considering the NCUI as the apex body of the cooperative movement in the new Cooperative Education and Training Scheme being prepared by the Union Ministry of Cooperatives”

“I also asked him for providing 100 percent provision for the entire expenditure to be incurred for smoothly running of NCCE, Cooperative Education Field projects, implementation of proposals of State Cooperative Unions and its Subordinate Institutions (JCTC) must be carried out through NCUI”, Sanghani said.

The NCUI President informed, “We are working for the development of the cooperative movement. There should be a 100 percent provision in Cooperative Education Fund (CEF) for expenditure being incurred on studies, research, seminars, conferences, cooperative fairs, publications, social media and activities under the Center for Entrepreneurship Development & Cooperation (CEDC) organized by NCUI”, he emphasized.

The apex body is leaving no stone unturned in taking the cooperative movement to the grassroots level and organizing a quality training program for representatives of cooperatives.
