Dileep Sanghani led GUJCOMASOL has urged members of its cooperative network to sell fertilisers for the Kharif season 2021 at “old rates”, media reports say.

Sanghani, who is the Vice-Chairman of the largest fertilizer co-operative in the world IFFCO has written letters calling upon grassroots cooperatives to sell fertilisers at old rates.

GUJCOMASOL mainly distributes fertilisers, seeds, pesticides and oil seeds through its three-tier distribution channel, with sales unions at district and taluka level, and PACS at village level. It is the distributor of IFFCO, KRIBHCO, GNFC, GSFC, HINDALCO, among others.

In Gujarat, farmers had threatened to launch a direct action if prices of fertilisers continued to rise.
